RN Staff – Adult ICU- Night Shift (up to $10,000 Incentive)

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36

St. Tammany Health System is now offering up to a $10,000 recruitment incentive to experienced RNs night shift. (Restrictions apply.)

Work Shift: 7pm-7am

Summary of the Job:Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members.  Supervises the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Monitor Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistance, Nurse Technicians and Unit Clerks.Minimum Qualifications:

  • Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program. Current LA RN License.

  • Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to:  Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross.  The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.       

  • Ability to meet weekend and holiday requirements required.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • ALS is preferred within 6 months of hire.

  • Med/Surg experience preferred.

  • Critical Care experience preferred.

Physical Demands:Must possess good physical health.  Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.  Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.  Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.Physical Effort required:        Constant (67%-100%) – seeingFrequently (34%-66%)- lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling/feeling, talking, hearingOccasionally (1%-33%)- climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), stooping, crouching
