The Surgical Telemetry Unit at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. The South Tower 11 specialized in Colorectal, Kidney Transplant, and Hepatobiliary systems.

The Inova RN provides knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse and healthcare delivery team. Consistently provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. All patient care and interactions are patient and family centered. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum to include patient and family education. Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others. Has respect for and understanding of other clinical disciplines. Uses an integrated approach toward patient outcomes. Nursing serves as an empowering body to influence patient empowerment as well as successful outcomes of financial and clinical quality through relationships and access based knowledge. Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in life-long learning. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice; serves as a resource, preceptor, and mentor. Leadership skills demonstrated in decision making and problem solving. Assists in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.  Communicates and collaborates with care team members implement the plan of care to meet individualized and developmental patient care outcomes.  Utilizes information to continuously improve patient care and practice to enhance outcomes  Partners with Registered Nurse to create a professional development plan to provide employee with the necessary skills to deliver up-to date patient care.

Requirements :

Requires more than 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experienceEducation: BSN from an accredited school of nursing.If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.BLS for Healthcare Provider certification requiredCEN/ACLS certification desired.Proficient in English.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward othersProficient computer skills required.
