Position: RN 

Schedule: Full-Time – 36 Hours Per Week, Nights (7:00pm-7:30am)

Pay: Up to $45 / hour, also includes shift differential *Offering a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus (Paid in installments)

Blakehurst is seeking a hospitality focused Registered Nurse to join our team! You will work alongside fellow caregivers to provide high-quality patient care. The RN is responsible for the overall nursing care/service on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.
  • Administers direct care, as necessary.
  • Administer prescribed medications to patients.
  • Make rounds to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
  • Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents’ condition.
  • Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of all care rendered.
  • Responds to resident emergency call system.
  • Encourages restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
  • Assures proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies.

Qualifications:

  • All nurses must be currently licensed in MD. Must have current CPR certification.
  • Previous experience in nursing, patient care, or other related fields, at least 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Ability to work well in teams.

All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
