Quality Auditor/3rd Shift – Manufacturing


Position Purpose

The Quality Auditor ensures that organizational processes – and the goods that result – comply with the requirements of product prints, as well as customer, regulatory, and the organization’s own requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Audit finished goods and production processes for compliance with quality requirements.
Identify processes, situations, etc., where organization is meeting requirements, as well as identify opportunities for improvement.
Follow reaction plans when non-conformities are identified.
Support operations on in-process checks and provide feedback to operators.
Collect and analyze data in ERP system.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Must be reliable, cooperative and a self-starter.
Computer basic skills.
Read and interpret print specifications.
Accurately compute numbers and have neat legible handwriting.
Relations with Others – Has contact with quality personnel, various plant Supervisors, Leads, Shop floor employees, vendors and customers.
May participate in small group activities such as task groups, safety meetings and other improvement efforts.


Qualifications / Prior Experience

Must have an eye for detail and above-average analytical ability.
Need exceptional listening, communication skills. Must be able to work well with people at all levels of the organization.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a diverse team of auditors.
Learning Period – To learn the basics of the job requires one to three months.
To handle all aspects of the job with minimal supervision takes six months.

Work Environment / Other Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee occasionally is required to stoop, kneel, crouch and lift. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
The incumbent is required to practice good housekeeping skills and report all safety hazards to his/her supervisor. This promotes a safe working environment for all AmesburyTruth personnel and outside visitors coming into our facilities.
